2003-2004 Scouting Year

Scoutrees
We are the host group for this annual event where Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, their leaders and parents come together to plant between 3000 to 4000 trees. Planting location this year is Charlottenburg Park with hot dogs being served up at Cooper Marsh.

Scout-Guide Week Church parade
We met at St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Maxville. The service started at 10:00 am so we requested that everyone be there between 9:30 - 9:45.

Lion's Club Breakfast
Our sponsor, the Maxville and District Lion's Club, has donated the proceeds of the December 14 breakfast at the Sport's Complex to our group. The Beavers and Cubs cleaned up the tables and washed dishes along with the support of their parent's and Leaders. A huge thank you goes to St Albert Cheese for their generous donation of a gift basket containing a variety of their products, Danson Decor for two lighted locomotives with Santa on board and, of course, our sponsor the Maxville and District Lion's Club.

Christmas Potluck supper
We had our annual Christmas Potluck on Saturday December 13, 2003 at the Maxville Sports Complex. For this festive occasion the Beavers supplied a variety of cold dishes, the Cubs provided warm dishes and the leaders contributed desserts. Follow the link to see how it went.

Apple Day
We made the rounds of Maxville on Saturday October 4, 2003 starting at 9:00 am and despite the rain we managed to raise almost $300. Thank you for your continuous support of Scouting in Maxville.

Work Day at Apple Hill Scout camp
Some of our leaders put in a full day on Saturday to help clean up the Camp.
